The Fulginiti Gallery asked Third Dune to create a video that followed sculptor Katie Caron through the almost yearlong process of creating new artwork for an exhibition in their gallery. Caron created this artwork with fiberglass, a new material for her. During multiple recording sessions, in the artist’s studio as well as in the Fulginiti Gallery, we captured the challenges and successes of the artist’s process. This documentary style footage, along with formal interviews with the artists and a CU Anschutz scientific advisor, aims to tell an engaging, thoughtful, and sometimes humorous story of the making of Katie Caron’s “Neuron Forest”.
